Cast Radiant Heating Tubes

The Role of Wirco's Cast Radiant Heating Tubes

Many of Wirco’s heat-treating customers require a heating source for their industrial furnaces. Since heat-treating utilizes a controlled atmosphere inside furnaces, the combustion products and heat distribution are controlled using either cast or fabricated stainless steel tubes. Wirco collaborates with end-use customers, furnace manufacturers, and natural gas burner designers to manufacture radiant tubing. This tubing ensures uniform heating while consuming minimal energy. Many Wirco customers choose to return to us year after year instead of going back to OEM suppliers, as our radiant tubes have consistently outperformed every other supplier.

Product information

Our variations of our Cast Radiant Tubes are produced from castings made in our Champaign and Waupaca Foundries. Both foundries offer centrifugal casting equipment designed to spin cast tubing sized from 2-1/2” up to 26” in diameter in lengths and thicknesses. Our cast radiant tubes are usually utilized in natural gas-fired furnaces but many of our customers use our cast tubes as protection and radiative sources for their electric heating elements.

The Benefits of Using Wirco's Cast Radiant Heating Tubes

Superior Heat Resistance: Built from high-temperature alloys, cast radiant tubes withstand extreme heat and resist oxidation, ensuring long service life even in harsh furnace environments.

Thermal Efficiency: Engineered to optimize heat transfer, these tubes deliver consistent and uniform temperatures across the furnace, reducing energy waste and cycle times.

Minimized Downtime: Their durability and resistance to thermal fatigue mean fewer replacements, lower maintenance costs, and increased operational uptime.

Corrosion and Oxidation Resistance: High-alloy compositions prevent damage from oxidizing and carburizing atmospheres, ensuring reliability throughout repeated heating cycles.

Custom Designs for Specific Applications: Whether you need U-tubes, W-tubes, P-tubes, straight radiant tubes, or custom designed, it can be manufactured to match your furnace specifications and operational needs.
