Endothermic Gas Generator Tubes

Endothermic Gas Generator Tubes are utilized by many Wirco customers engaged in the carburizing of metal process. Many agriculture equipment components, automotive electric powertrains, fasteners, and thousands of other metal components are hardened through the carburizing process. There are hundreds of companies in the United States that exist with their singular manufacturing process being carburizing. To conduct the carburizing process in a heat treatment furnace you need a carbon-rich gas (endothermic gas) to harden the parts being run. This gas is produced in many cases with endothermic gas generators which are supplied by a small handful of OEMS in the North American market. There are over 5000 endothermic gas generators in operation across the North American continent and each of those generators requires from 1 to 5 cast tubes. The tubes are used to both retain catalyst balls used to convert natural gas to endothermic gas under high temperatures and as the gas processing vessel that will be raised to 2000F to get the process to the proper temperature for gas endothermic gas production. For many years Wirco has stocked the common tube sizes in our Avilla facility so a quick lead time can be offered. Wirco has a long history of supplying endothermic generator tubes to both end-use customers and furnace OEMs
